LISTENER STORIES, VOLUME 2!!

#1

Our first story came from Kate from Virginia! She told us about how she was stalked and could have been abducted if it weren’t for a persistent voice telling her what to do and where to go. This voice led her to safety! Paranormal or Guardian Angel? This story has it all, including roller skates and karate. Read Kate’s story below

Kate

Here’s what happened to me in 1976. My boyfriend and I were driving from Connecticut to California the summer after graduating from high school. In Colorado, we stayed with a girl he knew, and we all went roller skating.
My boyfriend and I got in a fight and I took off my roller skates and left, just randomly walking until I came to a neighborhood of houses. As I walked a car came behind me and followed me for several blocks keeping pace with me, but I kept looking straight ahead. I began to get scared when suddenly, in my head, a voice (which I’d never heard before – or since) said “Go to the next – not this one – but the next house.”
The next house had a double garage with both doors up and a man was teaching karate to about 15 people. I walked directly into the class as if I belonged there. The car revved its engine and pealed away.
The kind instructor said he would drive me wherever I needed to go when the class was over. He could see I was shaking. As he was driving me back I noticed he had the deepest blue eyes I’ve ever seen and I thought “He’s like an angel…”
From what I remember this took place in Greely, CO, and somewhere near there was an army base and there were lots of rapes in the area (which I only discovered a few years later).
A weird situation, for sure! As I said, I’ve never had a voice like that in my head tell me exactly what to do since then. Paranormal or Guardian Angel? Who knows?

Our second listener story came from Barry in Wisconsin. Barry told us a cool story about some poltergeisty-type activity in this house he stayed in back in the 80s. It was witnessed by his family, too! He actually stopped the activity by standing up to whatever was causing it!

Barry submitted several cool stories, so we’ll be hearing from him in the future, too! Read Barry’s story below…

Barry

I’m now 60 years old and mine started in 1985.
I lived with my oldest brother and his girlfriend in an older small house which had  a one bedroom apartment upstairs. When I know I was home alone, I kept hearing sounds in our basement and things upstairs. I know the person very well that lived there so I knew if she was home. It happened back and forth. Little creepy but I never mentioned it to my brother. Goes on several times, right?
Then on a Sunday evening (I believe because we were all in bed), the kitchen faucet turned on full blast and the kitchen light too! The stereo and lights turned on in the living room. All at once, we all sprung up out of bed freaking out.
We left for the night, and I discovered they, too, had been hearing things but didn’t tell me! Well, before it was said and done, this last thing that happened was to me. Laying in bed one night, not long after I crawled in, my damn bed started to like raise up and down like someone had the footboard, shaking it. Well, I had enough by this time. I looked towards the end of the bed and just said “I don’t care anymore, just stop it, I’m going to sleep!” Worked. Nothing happened after that!

Our third story comes from Tammy in Florida. This is a creepy one involving a doppelgänger or mimic of her little boy and some scary voices coming from her closet! (shudder) Read Tammy’s story below…

Tammy

I lived in a house for 33yrs. It was 100 years old or older. The house was in Tampa,Fl and I had many experiences. The one that terrified me the most was a spirit or something that once stalked my son. It literally mimicked him… looked just like him. My entire family has seen it, even a police officer. My husband patted it on its head thinking it was my son! One night I was doing dishes, my son came running to me crying, saying something was in hall closet calling him. I thought someone was in my house so I called my husband who was at a friend’s house. They came home searched entire house found nothing. Later we were all watching baseball on tv when we heard something from the closet. It calling my son’s name. We all freaked out and the next day, we tore the closet down removed it from the hallway.

Our fourth story is from an anonymous author we’ll call “Alex, RN”. “Alex” gave us a story about a haunting at his aunt’s house that scared the bejesus out of him when he was a teenager. And to add insult to injury, he was the only one in his family who didn’t know the place was haunted! Read Alex’s story below…

"Alex, RN"

In 1965 when I was 15, I didn’t believe in the paranormal. But visiting an aunt one morning as she lay in bed with a bad back, she complained about a noise that doesn’t let her sleep. I am thinking “Yeah, all these old houses have noises,” then I heard the most terrifying evil noise coming from her kitchen area.

It was in a small South Texas town where this happened, and to this day I’ve never had any noise scare me since. And yes I had two instances of paranormal loud knockings at one house I lived in with my ex, stating if that doesn’t go away I’m leaving, but you could not pay me any amount of money to go through the one from 1965! I even remembered how surreal it was.

P.S. I was a nurse for 46 years, hospitals, nursing homes clinics even interning at a funeral home but never saw or had any paranormal experiences but I often wondered why not there but in one of my homes and especially my aunts house???

Our fifth and final story is from another anonymous contributor that we called “Annie”. She told us about an audible message from her recently deceased husband on her phone’s voicemail! Read Annie’s story below…

"Annie"

OK here goes.
I have a story.
I never believed in it because I was taught if you were a Christian, certain things don’t happen.
Well, it happened.
So when my husband passed away several years ago, I did not—like I said—DID NOT believe in that stuff. I was taught when I was younger that it didn’t happen unless it was evil spirits. Well, after he passed away, I had to go and get a new phone because he and I shared a contract.

So I went and got my own phone—totally different line, totally different company— a brand new phone. I went to my mom’s and I was setting up my voicemail since I had a different number now.
I asked mom if I could use her phone to call my phone to set up my voicemail. Well, my mom and I were standing there, and we were listening back to my voicemail to see if it sounded OK because of my stupid voice! I don’t like my voice, but anyway—we played that voicemail and suddenly from the phone, my husband’s voice said “Annie, all three!”

My mom and I both heard it! There is no way that he would’ve been on my new voice mail. There’s no way! We tried to figure out what in the world he was trying to tell me and the only thing that I could come up with—because he had three kids before with a previous marriage— I don’t know if he was trying to warn me because they did give me a lot of problems after he passed away.

We listened to it over and over and over. At first my mom looked at me and said, “Did you hear that?” and I said “Yes, I heard that! Did you hear that??” and then when I played it again, only I heard it. And then about the fifth time, she heard it again.

It’s like he was trying to tell me something.

I know it’s hard to believe and if I didn’t have a witness…
My mom is a very strict Baptist. She never believed, and stuff like that she wouldn’t have believed it unless she heard it herself.

Of course, I cried and everything because I had no idea! I mean, this was right after he passed away! And my oldest son heard it, too. My younger son didn’t want to hear it, which I understood.

No one would believe it unless they heard it.

I have since gotten remarried. Even now, sometimes when my current husband and I are talking, our radio will turn all the way up so we can’t hear one another, and it’ll go on some songs that my late husband used to listen to! No lie!
