In Strange News: Cryopreservation!

Alcor Life Extension Foundation, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, has preserved 199 bodies and heads of patients who hope to one day be revived once technology catches up. 

Preserved in liquid nitrogen, the vital bodily fluids of these individuals are removed and replaced with a stable substance that prevents degrading until such time as science provides a means of reviving them. Apparently the youngest participant is a 2-year-old girl.
